To create compelling products for our customers, it is essential to provide a stable, performant, intuitive and exciting visually enhanced and magnified image viewing and reading experience for users with vision impairments.
As an Applications Software Engineer on our team, you will maintain, improve, and drive forward essential video enhancement, magnification, Speech, Braille, and OCR technologies.

What You Will Be Doing:
Consults with others to gather information about program intent, using that information to design and implement new product features
Creates software design based on specifications and consultation with manager, product managers, other programmers, and end users
Codifies necessary software changes to provide required functionality
Collaborate with peer engineers, System Test and DevOps in ensuring delivery of high-quality code to production
Demonstrate aptitude for code reuse, minimizing code maintenance efforts, and championing best development practices
Debugs software to ensure seamless process throughout product life cycle, start to finish
Creates and maintains documentation of designs and changes to software
Perform maintenance and enhancements on existing applications and create high-quality code that adheres to and improves standards
What You Need for this Position:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and three (3) or more years related experience
Hands-on design and development of core functionality and applications, preferably in an embedded environment
Experience with modern development technologies and SDKs
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Writing and debugging multithreaded code
Desired But Not Required:
OpenGL Shading Library (GLSL) or equivalent
Image processing experience
Debugging and analyzing assembly code
Embedded development preferred not required.
