The Operational Excellence Manager will provide key support for the leadership team through successful management of the Quality Assurance Program, Service Repair Center activities, Sustaining Engineering objectives and New Product Introduction deliverables. Execute Operational Excellence strategy to improved overall Quality performance, hardware design efficiency, software reliability, reduced COGS and operational proficiency.

Manage the implementation, administration and measurement of Quality Management program, including continuous process improvement initiatives.
Oversee Sustaining Engineering activities including trouble-shooting, diagnostic and performance testing and SW/HW design improvement initiatives.
Ensure effective implementation and distribution of new products for their organizations, as well as handling launch aspects and verifying that quality control complies with all project requirements.
Collaborate with management and line production staff to achieve most efficient and accurate quality assessments.
Create and implement changes to improve current manufacturing processes, supplier materials, Engineering hardware design, software reliability and reduce operational costs.
Ensure operational and system compliance to ISO 9001/13485 requirement and Medical Device Regulations.
Leads investigation, containment and prevention of hardware and software quality problems and manage completion of corrective actions requests to reduce Out of box defects, internal and customer quality incident reports.
Validates and analyzes organizational customer quality metrics and performs periodic reviews to evaluate results and recommendation action plans to close gaps in the supply chain.
Other duties may be assigned.
Excellent PC skills in Windows, Excel, Word and Power Point.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Comprehensive knowledge of statistical tools, control plans, problem solving methods, i.e. 8D and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems, evaluate and complete improvement projects.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Required – Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math. M.B.A. preferred.
ISO 9001/13485 training/ certificate of completion. 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and SPC experience.
3+ years of professional experience in Quality Management Systems. AND-
3+ years of professional experience in software development and/or HW products. OR-
3+ years of engineering management or service experience in medical device or similar industries.
Experience recruiting, hiring, and managing a team.
Previous Project Management experience preferred.
