Responsible for ensuring only 100% high quality products are shipped to Vispero customers.Performs complete and thorough quality assessment of Vispero products and components through detailed understanding of product and component specifications, diligently following specified test and verification procedures and carefully documenting all discrepancies. Immediately notifies manager and engineering contacts when new quality issues are detected.
Duties, roles, and responsibilities of Quality Control Inspector.
Develops working knowledge of product specifications, assembly, correct operation, product BOM with accessories and options. Understands how each of the specified test procedures ensure product and component quality and ensure that defects or marginal performance will be detected. Familiar with user guides, service manuals and written test procedures (QOP’s).
MEASURE:No Test Escapes shipped to customers due to inspector not aware of or not trained on the products and procedures.
Consistently execute all documented product and component test procedures as specified.Always review online test procedures for updates and verify every step in the test procedure is executed for every unit under test.Inspector must always review current product-specific QOP documents and use as step-by-step reference to ensure complete and accurate execution of all QC testing – no exceptions.

Document every test result of every unit by product and serial number in the Access Database QC application tracking system with detailed descriptions of test failures andinspection rejects.
MEASURE:100% complete and accurate inspection data and reports.
Record QC procedures completed on Product and Serial Number specific traveler document and sign-off with QC inspector initials and date completed.
MEASURE:100% complete traveler document implementation and serial number traceability.
Notify supervisor, manager or engineering contact if new quality concern or test failure is detected to prevent shipping defective or low quality products to customers.
MEASURE:All new failure modes are detected in QC and do not escape to customers.
Makes recommendations to supervisor, manager or engineering to expand test coverage with additional documented test procedures as needed to detect all known or suspected failure modes.
MEASURE:No test escapes due to known failure modes not covered by documented test procedures.
Follow documented criteria for dispensation of all QC reject units. Reassign rejects to appropriate location:MRB, ProdRep, etc. or document as “Fix-in-Place”.
MEASURE:All QC Rejects are immediately handled per documented procedures.No accumulation of rejected units in QC Test area.
Answers incoming calls/emails providing excellent customer service to internal VFO
Group employees who request information and assistance.
MEASURE:Feedback from peer groups.
All requests for time off must be approved by the VP of Customer Success & Quality and needs to be requested at least 2 weeks in advance.Unplanned time off due to illness must be recorded as sick leave.
MEASURE:Personal time off consistently requested at least 2 weeks in advance. Sick Leave is consistently reported. No unplanned absences related to personal timeoff
QC Inspection and Testing work priorities.
Priority 1:Complete all OQC product testing and inspections required for meeting ontime delivery of current open orders that must ship today.Overtime will be approved by QC Supervisor as needed based on business priorities.
Priority 2:Complete all OQC product inspections requested for building up FGI inventory of pre-tested products.
Priority 3:IQC testing per defined AQL sample test procedure only when all Priority 1 and Priority 2 work has been completed and QC Inspection resources are available.
MEASURE:QC team is always working on top business priorities for QC testing/inspections.

Key skills and Abilities:Technical and mechanical skills, knowledge of production, processing, electronics, able to use spreadsheet software and Access Database applications;
High School Diploma or Two-year Associate’s Degree or equivalent with a technical/electronics background and/or 2 years of related work experience.
