As the Repair Technician Supervisor you will have the opportunity to contribute to our overall mission by overseeing the repair department in all phases of the repair process. The position provides leadership for all repair technicians on the team including; education, support, and guidance to meet the overall goals of the Vispero Brand in terms of one of our core values “Customer Obsessed.” The ideal candidate will have both repair technician experience and supervisor experience to lead the team to successful company goals.
Skills, Experience, and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equal experience in the manufacturing repair technician area
Five to 10 years of electronic consumer manufacturing required
Evaluates and examines products or parts returned by customers for credit or repair and assigns appropriate jobs for each team member
Maintains an understanding of department throughput and backlogs to ensure SLA targets are met, balancing department staffing, improving department productivity and identify/ respond to management inquiries
Participates daily in directly repairing units to support and maintain department efficiency and throughput
Works closely with Technical Support and Quality Department to identify trends in product problems and communication on RMA cases
Works directly with Repair Technician team members to quickly identify and correct unit issues that exceed the team members’ expertise
Reports problems, discrepancies, or rejections to management and finds solutions to improve turnaround time
Develops targets for all repair times by product number and repair reason (i.e. monitors, cameras, structural, batteries, etc.)
Ensures that the repair team processes return authorizations in the CRM system as quickly as possible to maintain customer satisfaction
Continually provides feedback to IT on improving the functionality of Salesforce.com for repair reporting
Oversees the inventory of parts needed to complete repairs and submit requisitions for additional parts as necessary from raw material stock
Ensures the repair team completes periodic training and retraining on construction and function of all products, both new and existing
