As the Warehouse Supervisor you will have the opportunity to contribute to our overall mission by working directly with the Warehouse Manager to plan, organize, and monitor the storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper department in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customers’ needs.
The ideal candidate would play a pivotal role in improving the product flows within the company and increase efficiency.
Skills, Experience, and Competencies
Works with the Production and Distribution Manager and Human Resources to maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner
Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors, and evaluates performance of warehouse and receiving associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from configuration; counsels, records, and disciplines as necessary
Develops section leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned sections and duties
Maintains equipment to accomplish the warehouse and mission in a safe, effective manner
Recommends appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials
Supervises the receipt of all products; ensures products are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report products received and properly input into ERP
Oversees the supplying of materials to production and stage materials for assembly
Maintains the ongoing cycle count program, evaluating differences between physical and system counts
Recommends corrective action to maintain accuracy of perpetual inventory
Insures daily production transfers to Shipping are accurate; properly stored into correct storage locations
Works with Production to insure customer shipments are made in an accurate and timely basis
Insures shipments at month end is made to minimize any open backlog
Reviews and approves monthly inventory of FGI and investigates discrepancies
Ensures all materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures
Assists Warehouse Manager in developing and recommending annual budget requirements for the warehouse and receiving department
Other duties as assigned and needed by the Warehouse Manager
