Digital accessibility is becoming an essential priority for healthcare providers and the vendors who support them. In 2024, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued updates to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), bringing greater clarity to digital accessibility requirements. These updates reinforce the need to ensure that websites, mobile apps, kiosks, and other technologies are designed to provide equitable access for people with disabilities when delivering healthcare services.
