NFB 2020 Virtual Convention Schedule and Show Specials
Vispero is delighted to be a part of the virtual 2020 national convention! Although we don’t have the pleasure to meet with you in person this year, we’ve outlined much of our participation here, including our latest news, presentations, and of course, summer convention specials on many of our popular products. What’s New in JAWS, ZoomText and Fusion – Live Session
Vispero Presenters: Eric Damery, Vice President Software Product Management; Rachel Buchanan, CVRT, Product Manager, User Education and Outreach; and Glen Gordon, Software Fellow.
Description: As Eric has done each year at the beginning of the convention, he and his guests will discuss everything new about the software over the past year, and a look ahead to what is coming with 2021 just around the corner. There will be plenty of discussion on licensing options, convention specials, new features, and as always, there will be time for questions and answers.
Empowering Independence – Learning Fusion JAWS and ZoomText – Live Session
Vispero Presenters: Rachel Buchanan, CVRT, Product Manager, User Education and Outreach; Elizabeth Whitaker, Technical Writer, User Education and Outreach.
Description: This session will acknowledge the obstacles inherent to learning and teaching assistive technology and detail our strategy for providing user education to anyone interested in Fusion, JAWS, or ZoomText.
We’ll be going over how we came to the decision to make all our online training free, and what that decision means for future content.

It Happened in Florida: How Florida Division of Blind Services and Vispero made JAWS, ZoomText and Fusion available for all Floridians – Live Session
Presenter: Ron Miller, Blindness Technology Product Specialist, Vispero
Description: Will discuss the negative results often experienced by current blind students who use a braille note taker as their sole accessibility device during their K-12 matriculation, versus the Continuity of platform in the Windows 10 operating system achieved when the ElBraille is used in this same role.

In each exhibit session, they’ll be plenty of time for Q & A, so your experience can be as close to an actual convention as possible.
